Paleo “Cake Batter” Ice Cream

banana "cake batter" ice creamAre you ready to rock your world with a creamy, delicious, refreshing treat that is actually good for you?  Welcome to our world!  This is one of our favorite recipes and is sure to wow you each and every time you spend the minimal moments necessary to create it.  What’s better than a a raw, frozen dessert that uses five simple ingredients found in most kitchens….?  We can think of nothing! 

 

Ingredients:

5 sliced and frozen bananas (slicing and freezing your nearly too-ripe-to-eat bananas, without the peel, is the forethought preparation of this dessert) – if you do not have sliced, frozen bananas ready, you will have to postpone your gratification for at least two hours while you wait for their freezing

2 Tablespoons vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon almond extract

1/2 teaspoon maple extract

2 Tablespoons raw honey

Optional: almond milk for blending
Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth and creamy.  Enjoy immediately, returning unused portions to the freezer in an airtight container.
